Our Mission: A community working together to achieve access to safe and affordable housing for all residents of Genesee County. The Flint-Genesee County Continuum of Care (CoC) is a network of partners, funded and unfunded programs, member agencies and individuals that agree to work collaboratively to end homelessness for each person seeking services.

A Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is a local information technology system used to collect client-level data and data on the provision of housing and services to homeless individuals and families and persons at risk of homelessness.

Coordinated Entry is a process developed to ensure that all people experiencing a housing crisis have fair and equal access and are quickly identified, assessed for, referred, and connected to housing and assistance based on their strengths and needs

The first step you should take for involvement within the CoC is to join us in attending the Flint-Genesee County CoC meetings every second Wednesday at 9am. Please send an email to Flint-GeneseeCountyCoC@metroflint.org. to request an invitation.

Those that are literally homeless or in imminent risk of homelessness can receive a homeless assessment, be referred to an emergency shelters or be referred to other appropriate homeless services.
